Google Banning Sites

SEO News

Actually getting a ban from Google is a rare event. This means that they have totally removed your website from their index. If this happens you've been really bad. Whether you just followed some outdated, bad advice or you were intentionally trying to manipulate them. Shame on you.

Of course every single search engine optimization specialist or do it yourself-er out there is trying to manipulate the returns is some fashion. Hopefully you are tapping into some good solid SEO information. At any rate if your caught using questionable methods your site will usually drop to Zero page rank which means your chances of getting a high search engine positioning for anything is virtually zero.

In the early days of SEO I had great ranking and traffic. Then the page rank algorithm came out and I linked all my sites together. This was the death of those ranking on Google, but who knew about the complexity of the PR system back then. I was making money and got lazy about getting link partners and developing new fresh content.

If your site drops to zero, it's been penalized and your better off dropping that domain and starting over. Google seems to be very unforgiving like that. You can't just link to anyone either, the site need to be related in some fashion to the content on your site. How bout this … you have a links page with 100 or more links on it. What if your link is on a page like this? So many people just don't know all the rules and get penalized without even knowing what they are doing is frowned upon.

SEO News is the main source I use and used when I got my start. check them out.
