AskJeeves Aquires Bloglines
One of the best secondary seark engine Ask.com expands even futher with a purchase of Trustic, Inc. This is the company that own Bloglines. According to Ask, Bloglines has index mor than 280 million blog posts, news articles and more. TIme magazine called it one of the top 50 cool sites last year.
Bloglines CEO Mark Fletcher states:
Bloglines became so popular because it was one of the first Web services to make blog and RSS feed reading free and easy to understand for average Internet users. We want to continue this quest to bring our exciting capabilities into the mainstream.
Bloglines lets users pull together their favorite news sources, favorite blogs, favorite Web sites, and just about any data feed a user wants – all on a single, continually updated Web page.
