Advantages of Dedicated IP Web Hosting.

For best results in your SEO Marketing use a unique IP.

I can speak from experience about shared ip vs. dedicated IP web hosting, and the results from a move to more affordable shared ip hosting.

Today there are hundreds of web hosting companies that offer what is called reseller hosting accounts. What you get with these types of accounts is really very appealing but what you don't know will cost you a lot of money.

Here's the picture, you get the ability to host unlimited domains, sounds good but this is same shared ip, not dedicated ip hosting. Higher bandwidth allotment, more disk space or storage space on the web server and the ability to resell portions of your disk space. Most reseller web hosting accounts are used for personal/business domain and not actually resold like a web hosting company.

As I said, this is a shared hosting environment in which many websites share the same ip address. One of the potential problems with this comes from the possible unethical behaviour and web promotion tactics of someone sharing the same IP.

You can't control other website owners or their promotional tactics. There are a lot of things the search engines frown upon and even penalize a website for doing. Whether they do it unwittingly or deliberately, rather than investigate a website owners intentions or knowledge of search engine optimization do's and don't's , a search engine will simply penalize or ban an ip.

This means you could get the penalty tagged to your website as well as everyone sharing that ip. Is this fair? Not really but this is just one of the pitfalls to shared IP hosting. In fact this may be one of the reasons for the poor search engine performance that resulted from a switch over I did for a client recently.

On the flip side of this there is Good News! Dedicated IP web hosting has many advantages but just to name a few.

By switching your domains to dedicated IP web hosting your risk of being associated with penalized websites is eliminated.

Also, this is very affordable web hosting these days if you know where to look. You can't depend on the so called "best hosting"  or "top hosting" sites that show up on the top of the paid adverting to give you the best site possible. They do offer some good deals on hosting but you need to look deeper to find the really awesome web hosting deal.

Another advantage is an better search engine positioning. A search engine spider records all the ip numbers associated with the domains it finds in its travels across the net. It makes a kind of map of the links between sites, measures the incoming and outgoing links on all the sites and the long and the short of it is that those websites with unique ip's get better results.

For instance, I started out hosting my client and personal websites using unique, dedicated IP web hosting. I also did my own search engine optimization for my niche websites as well as a couple of clients. In fact, one client had about 20 domains each hosted on its own dedicated ip. all doing well.

Imagine if you will a situation where you need to cut costs or increase profit margin. You see an opportunity to get hosting for all your sites at a mere $50 a month or even less. Very tempting.

But what if this very effort to save a buck would cause the empire you've built to falter. This is what my experience with shared ip hosting found. Trying to cut costs like this was like pulling a plant up buy the roots and if your hosting your domains on a shared ip foundation, you may find more fertile soil

With today's competitive nature for even the smallest niche, the risks of shared hosting environments is not the deal it once was could even be the reason for the under performance of existing web sites.

Multiple IP Hosting - 16 ip's for $12.95

If you've spent any time looking for multiple ip web hosting you probably got pretty tired of the whole process. Just when I was ready to call it quits and go for round 3 another day, I hit the jackpot. Unlimited disk space, 6,000 Gigabytes of bandwidth and 16 sites each with a unique IP.

I've have accounts with several companies like OLM.net, Vortech, Hostgator, SiteGround, Godaddy and even an SEO web hosting account with one company that gives me 40 ip's in 20 class C blocks and 20 different name servers.

So I do know a thing or to about multiple ip hosting and 16 unique Io's for $12.95 a month is an aw some find. Top that off with an incredible 6,000 Gigabytes of bandwidth, unlimited disk space and other perks like 3 free domain names, zero setup fees, coupons for free advertising with Google Adwords, Yahoo and MSN make me totally wish I had found this company sooner.

Reciprocal Link Partners Still the best deal in the game

It seems to me that this issue is getting a lot of negative press. Google this, Google that.  Well reciprocal linking has been around long before they raised the bar and sent everyone running around like crazy, trying to figure out what to do next.  I'm here to say that I'm a believer in reciprocal linking.  IMO it is much easier to get traffic to your site with a good reciprocal link exchange than it is to chase your tail trying to fit into what ever the current buzz is.

It is wonderful if your the type of person that can write articles and submit them to article directories to get one way links. But as a web site owner ( I run Many sites) time is limited so I will take a reciprocal link in exchange for initial results. Chances are good that no matter what you do you still won't get a top 10 ranking for your keyword terms right out of the gate anyway. Why? Because you need links and the top search engine positions already have those so start with a reciprocal link exchange and add other kinds of links over time.

I've been successful at getting some top 10 rankings, made some bucks, but there is always someone that will optimize a better web page and get more links than you.   So I really do like reciprocal links because they have sent traffic to my sites.

I can't see Google banning reciprocal linking now that AdSense Publishers are making them so much money. Reciprocal links will be the best, easiest way to get spiders and real eyeballs to your website.

If you have hours on end to manually do reciprocal links, write new content or blog about your niche go for it. You can get creative and even finagle one way, three way or article link backs, The more sites you run, you will see the benefits to using a quick reciprocal link exchange to save your time.

Most of my sites are sales sites and not all that content rich so getting people to link to it out of the goodness of their hearts is not going to happen. So, what I am going to say here are my tested results. In short, the automated link exchange I have on my site does bring me traffic. On my AdSense sites as well, I have seen positive proof that this link exchange has increased the daily traffic as well as the click revenue.

In my mind any link that brings you traffic is a good one and somehow  I don't see Google objecting to my website bring them revenue. They don't expect everyone to know all the tricks, traffic strategies, or to have a crystal clear understanding of what they expect. So penalizing the reciprocal link exchange is silly thinking. Reciprocal links are good traffic exchange strategies and practically the foundation the web has been built on.

I run over 50 sites right now with more on the way, and for $4 a site I can get a lot of links to my site right away. It is true that you should try to get people to link to you for the joy of doing it but I'm telling you now, It don't happen easily if your a commercial website, selling something,  or have an AdSense ad showing.  So check out this reciprocal link exchange and sign up.  You will find link partners and earn $10 per referral.

There's a lot more to say bout reciprocal link building but I just wanted to rant on this for a spell.
