Blogging Better Listings On Google
Blogging is quite the rage these days and the search engines seem to absolutely love them. Why? The trend for search engines is to seek out "fresh new content" and blogs are just that. Blogs are updated regularly by the owner or by comments, Blogs are usually focused and tightly themed around a particular topic or niche if you will.
Because of these and other factors blogs are attracting the frequent attention of the search engine spiders and seem to gain page rank rather quickly. One of the major elements that effect this is inbound links. People love to link to blogs. Consider if your business could utilize this powerful marketing medium, would a better ranking we worth all the extra effort?
A business using a blog to promote itself, the products and services it offers and develops a loyal readership at the same time. This is not an easy task but developing a readership isn't the only reason to blog. In fact there are companies with hundreds of blogs, blogging about nothing. I've seen them and it's just some basic information using keywords and linking to what you could call the money sites. The writing is more like mindless rambling and barely understandable, hard to follow information usually written by someone that English is not a native language.
Never the less these blogs have other blogs linking to them and "ghost writers" making comments to these posts to boost their importance and frequent visits from the search engine spiders. With tactics like these it's hard to just compete for some legitimate traffic. On the upside there are some real blogs that get real eyeballs looking at them.
